Mental Training Week 2

“Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.”

— Zig Ziglar

Hopefully you reflected last week on your current level of mental training. If you discovered this was an area that you can improve on or begin a practice of, these suggestions may interest you. Word games like wordle, puzzles, crossword, reading an article or a book chapter, learning a new language (maybe sign language) playing games such as chess, or card games. If none of these recommendations sound compelling, other areas are cooking, gardening, drawing, painting, needlepoint, if it's new for you, it will stimulate other areas of your brain.

This December when everyone else is going in too many directions, you can be the one who finishes the year by learning something new. It will be your gift to yourself for the new year. As Ziglar states in his quote, we all have 24 hours in the day, how will you spend your time? You can choose to devote time for your wellbeing and have the added benefit of enhancing your brain power.
